Fantasi Tuli Berdaya was founded by Mufi in 2019 as an initiative to support inclusive art and creativity. The organisation bridges the gap between Deaf and Hearing artists through various art forms, particularly musical theater, film, and music.

Despite there being 2.5 million Deaf individuals in Indonesia, opportunities and access for the Deaf community are still very limited. That’s why every performance by Fantasi Tuli not only serves as an aesthetic expression but also acts as a powerful advocate for equality and accessibility for all.

After producing an award-winning short film titled “Kereta Kita” in 2019 and an inclusive musical theater production called “Senandung Senyap” in 2024, this year Fantasi Tuli presents a new Deaf musical theater performance, “Dengar Isyaratku”. This performance serves as both a critique and an invitation to gain a deeper understanding of the Deaf community.

Fantasi Tuli continues to perform their songs with Bahasa Isyarat Indonesia sign language, and shares insights about the Deaf community from stage to stage. The group is currently preparing for their next musical, “Jemari,” which is set to be performed this December. For more information, visit their Instagram account @fantasituli.
