Architecture and landscape exist here as one continuous gesture. Designed by Goy Architects, the award-winning structure follows the contours of the hillside, framing the bamboo valley and the mountain beyond. Locally sourced materials such as timber, brick, and volcanic stone allow the buildings to settle quietly into their surroundings, while steep roofs and open verandahs draw in the cool mountain air. Each room is positioned to dissolve the boundary between living space and cultivated land. Treehouse Rooms perch gently above the valley. Studio Lofts offer elevated views. King and Twin Rooms open toward the forest. Rumah Santai, a three-bedroom villa, anchors the farmstay with the warmth of a family home.
Daily rhythms are shaped by this intimate dialogue between space and landscape. Guests gather beneath a towering ficus tree in the communal dining hall, join tempeh-making or sourdough workshops in the open kitchen, or wander through the fields that feed their plates. This spirit continues through seasonal programs such as pottery retreats, children’s nature camps, natural dyeing workshops, and outdoor concerts that nurture tactile connections between people and place.
