The 100% Manusia Film Festival is back on September 4-14, 2025. In this 9th edition, the 100% Manusia Film Festival carries the theme of “Empowerment” and will be held in two locations, Jakarta and Yogyakarta. A total of 50 international films from 27 countries entered the festival, including the 34 selected Indonesian short films. You are welcomed to watch these curated selections at 6 different venues in Jakarta; the Austrian Embassy, Grand Sahid Jaya, Institut Francais d’Indonesie (IFI), Istituto Italiano Cultura Jakarta, Taco Bell Senopati, and IFI Yogyakarta.
How To Be Normal and The Oddness of The Other World from Austria premiered on September 4 as the opening film. This film was recently screened at the 2025 Berlin International Film Festival.
This year, the 100% Manusia Film Festival will not only feature film screenings, but also two workshops that you can join: 100% DIY Sound Design in Film with Alex Lane and 100% DIY Sign Language 101. Additionally, there are two international guests who will enliven the festival: Azura Nasron (Malaysia), a human rights activist and director of Hai Anis, and Alex Lane, sound designer for the film Intercepted.
