Some places serve coffee. A few serve comfort. Tiembi manages to do both, offering the quiet ease of dropping by a friend’s house without any expectation. Long before the café had a counter or a room that carried its name, Tiembi existed as a habit between three friends. Coffee travelled in bottles and bags from one doorstep to another. Conversations stretched late into the day in a living room that cradled their earliest hopes.

Kezia, Nadia, and Celine had been close for so long that their families naturally overlapped, forming a kind of extended home. They often look back on that time with soft amusement, remembering how stories, laughter, and small life updates simply gathered around whatever warm cup happened to be on the table in Nadia’s house.

Their bond eventually shaped the name itself. Tiembi stands for Three Monkeys Bar, a quiet nod to Keikei, Nana, and Linlin. It mirrors a friendship rooted in sincerity, the kind that never needs grand effort to stay alive.

The kitchen follows the same spirit. Each dish is kept easy to love. Western favourites sit comfortably beside Asian classics, and familiar local dishes. Nothing tries to impress for the sake of it, everything simply aims to soothe.

Through all this staying true has always been Tiembi’s promise. What began as a ritual between three friends continues to shape every corner of the café today. A home built from their bond, and shared with anyone who steps inside.
